Post a comment Let me know what you think. Since my transfer I've found myself reading more blog written by people who have undergone IVF treatment, particularly those who blogged about their 'two week wait'. Blogs were a better source of information compared to forums because people tend to keep blogging after the outcome of the test, whereas people on forums often disappear and there's never any follow up.
So the person who had spotting on Day 5 disappears and you never know whether that was an implantation bleed or sign of an imminent failure. Of course, not only is every woman different, every pregnancy is different and as I mentioned last week the side effects of medication and the symptoms of early pregnancy often go hand in hand. This means you can't really compare one person's experiences with your own, but it's sort of nice to know that other people are going through the same thing as you or went through it, no matter what the outcome.
BFN 4DP5DT (silly I know): Hey everyone... - Fertility Network UK
And with that in mind, I thought I'd share a quick rundown of my first week after transfer, just in case you've found your way here by Googling "4dp5dt blog post". For the lay people at there the first number and two letters, such as '4dp' stands for the number of d ays p ost, the second number and letters stands for 5 d ay t ransfer which is how old our embryos were when we transferred them.
The second number will always stay the same but the first number will change each day. I was pretty emotional as well as feeling generally anxious. Probably the other main symptoms were feeling headachey and light-headed which I put down to starting the Clexane the night before. I think that it was around Day 2 that the tiredness started creeping in. Considering I was sitting at home with my feet up, I wasn't really doing anything which warranted getting tired about.
There was less in the way of cramps this day so I guess that what I'd been feeling was from the transfer itself. With Olaf and Elsa this was the day that I felt very definite implantation pains which I didn't feel this time around, so I kind of wound myself up that perhaps it hadn't worked.
I finally got some actual twinges and unusual sensations in my abdomen. Perhaps a sign of implantation? I also had an overwhelming sense of happiness, it wasn't really that I felt sure it was working, but I just felt like I was doing everything I could and I was cool with that. Still very tired and my chest felt a little sensitive as well.
I started to feel really thirsty. It wasn't really that I had a dry mouth, just that I was aware of needing to drink more. I also had a fantastically vivid dream that night. I was still feeling pretty happy but waves of emotion would hit me as well and I would need to have a bit of a weep. I think I was also suffering from a touch of hayfever as my nose would alternately block or run at various points in the day. Ended up with a massive craving for doughnuts. Back at work at last.
This is both a good thing and a bad thing since I need to focus on what I'm doing so I have less time to obsess about what's happening in my body but also people keep asking me how it went and how I'm feeling which makes me think about it more. I feel knackered by about halfway through the day, I crack out the ginger biscuits I've been hiding in my locker because I'm feeling nauseous, I'm still really thirsty which of course means there are some moments when I end up going to the loo three times in an hour.
Feel nauseous and bloated, end up leaving my jeans undone when I finish work because it's uncomfortable to button them. I'm slightly anxious as I had a touch of brown spotting when I got up and again periodically through the day. We are moving seats at work and while I'm ferrying stuff from my old desk at one side of the room to my new one the fire alarm goes so I have to stand outside in the sun while we wait for the clearance to go back in.
End up feeling really nauseous and kind of light-headed.We strive to provide you with a high quality community experience. I'm totally freaking out this time after my FET!TWW SYMPTOMS - SUCCESSFUL EMBRYO TRANSFER
Maybe it's because it's my final transfer ever, I don't know but is it normal to feel not a dam thing? I'm so upset and anxious, this is going to be difficult until my beta! Anyway I want this so baby girl normal embryo to implant so badly : I am on Estrace and Progesterone so other than bloating which started before the transfer I have noting!
For those of u who had a BFP when did u start to have sore boobs? I didn't feel anything at all and thought for sure my transfer didn't work. I tested at home 7 dpt and I'm currently 39 weeks along. Try not to worry about it and good luck! I feel ya. I'm 9dp6dt and have no symptoms. My boobs are sore but that started when I started PIO and estradiol before the transfer.
This is also our only embryo and I'm approaching 39 so freaking out a bit. With that said my ds who is 3, I had no symptoms so Who knows. But it sure would be. Me too, it's a tough pill to swallow! The "last go at it" seems so final, really hoping this is both of our time, I want a sibling for my son so badly!!!!
Let's hope we get our BFP's on Monday! Baby Dust for us both!! Yes definitely sounds like we're in similar boats. No symptoms to speak of. With that said I didn't have any symptoms with my three year old. I think this time feels more desperate bc realistically it's the final shot at this. I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around last shot.
And btw, I have a 3. Have you developed any more symptoms? I still don't have any. I'm going to hold out until the blood test. Just so nervous bc this is possibly our last chance. I'm 39 so time is not on our side. Will be thinking of you on Monday. When was your transfer?
I too have my beta on Monday! I am having a hard time being patient this time, I still don't have any symptoms but I've done a lot of googling and sometimes people just don't have any at all so I'm holding on to hope!!!A group where those trying to conceive by in-vitro fertilization or fertility treatments can support each other through the process.

We tried for 5 years, everyone month I had symptoms and was convinced it worked. Even once confirmed I was pregnant I was confused because I had no symptoms. Thank you for sharing your story. Reading that gave me some hope. Are you going to start testing or wait for your beta? I think you mentioned you'll start testing tomorrow?
We did a fresh transfer in March and I remember having no pregnancy symptoms that early after transfer. In fact, I didn't feel much of anything until well after my BFP. I'm currently 9 weeks and 7 days pregnant.
So you are certainly still in the game! Good luck with it! I hope it's a sticky bean! Just reading this now, sorry!
Well unfortunately I caved in and tested today during the day and it was negative. Going to try again tomorrow but this time on first urine.! Have you tested yet? When is your scheduled beta? Thank you. Did my first test this afternoon and it was negative. I will try again tomorrow on first urine of the day. How many days past transfer is this?
It's probably still too early. Morning :. It probably still too early and also when I called First Response to ask them which type of test to buy and when to take it the woman I spoke with did say first pee of the morning. If you have a clinical pregnancy it will mean that 4dp5dt will mean you are 3 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Many women say this is when they start getting pregnancy symptoms. What a useless statistic! However, it is clear that implantation bleeding can take place, this usually happens between 1dp5dt — 5dp5dt.
It is usually light spotting, can have a pink thin consistency. But if you are bleeding then you should contact your clinic right away to discuss it with them. You had a hCG injection, you are using progesterone to support your luteal phase, all of these can cause these symptoms as well as being pregnant or as a precursor to your normal monthly aunt flow.
For your sanity try not to read into every little change and niggle going on in your body. All of this causes anxiety because you keep obsessing about everything!
This was the time when keeping my IVF diary populated with my thoughts and feelings helped, I had an IVF colouring book and I tried to keep my mind occupied and not just sat at home dwelling. We have written an article with 8 actionable tips to keep your sanity during the two-week wait so check it out. So, make sure with your mind busy you try to find ways to rest, relax and recover, consider massage, acupuncture or short walks in a place you love.
Nathan and I took nice walks along the beach and it kept my mind off the possible outcomes. This is the day the urge really kicks in! You are advised not to test before 10 days after the hCG trigger injection, today for most cycles is almost exactly 10 days since your injection so the desire to test can be overwhelming, but you can still get false positives from the hCG on this day so this is something you should always bare in mind.
So, as long as you are prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that this will send you on do what feels right. The only reason that I know all this is because this is what I wrote in my IVF diary, those things are a godsend!

My blog about IF and loss Kate's IF Blog. Mine wans't an FET, but before beta with any of my pregnancies I have had insomnia and dry hands. The dry hands was a clue this time. And, my cramping with this successful transfer was way worse than a normal month. Honestly, I don't think I could tell the difference between pg symptoms and progesterone symptoms, especially with PIO. Log in. My account. Baby Registry. The Bump Baby Registry. Getting Pregnant. Why 4dp5dt is the hardest day? | What can you do to help keep your sanity?
One resulted in my dd dear daughter and the other I miscarried at 9 weeks. I felt completely normal for both! You are still very much in with a chance. Think positively x.
And I mean none, no bloating, no sore boobs, no spotting, no change in dc, no cramping, zero. I tested on day 7 and 8 BFN, I even posted in an upset panic on here. And today test day I got a BFP. Wow massive congrats on your bfp!! How exciting. This inactive post may not receive community feedback. We recommend you begin a new post. Add a comment This field is required. Hi ladies So we had our ET on Friday which makes me 4dp5dt. I'm on the treatment for high NK cells as well. I spent most of the night lying in bed convinced it is not working.
I just feel nothing at all. I have no cramps, twinges or aches. I feel just like I did before the transfer. Is this normal not to feel anything? Should I not feel implantation or something? I know it's too early to test but I just have this feeling it won't be good news.In all honesty, nothing is going on. Not even sore tatas, which I should be feeling with all this progesterone in my system. Just want a yes or no answer, straight-up.
Should I wait until 9 days? I would not suggest testing that early! I have everything crossed for you! Absolutely everything crossed for you!!! I used what I thought was a super sensitive pee stick at 5dp5dt and got a big fat BFN!
I was devastated! I also had no real discernible sxs. Mostly everything I felt could have easily been construed as my normal PMS. Try not to pee on things just yet : And good luck!!!!! So excited for you!! In both my pregnancies my back hurt at about 14 days past 5 day transfer, otherwise, nada! As for testing… I peed on all the things starting at something embarrassing like 4 days after 5 day transfer. Haha, I remember you did!
And I was totally stressed on your behalf with all those crazy-faint second lines! Too much to handle. It turns out this one may have just implanted a day later because the betas and doubling rates both followed the same patterns, just a day later. And so since there is no magic ball to tell you when that little blastie sees it fit to snuggle in, no one can really tell you the best time to test. Personally, I had strong positives at 10 dpo with my son and 11 dpo with my current pregnancy.
Sorry for rambling. I agree, way too early to be reading the tea leaves!
